Hi, I'm Nhim Sothavy
Fourth-year , Semester 1 Management Information System (MIS) student at SETEC INSTITUTE, building secure, cloud-deployed web systems — one terminal command at a time.
From curious student to systems builder
I'm a fourth-year Management Information System (MIS) student at SETEC INSTITUTE, splitting my time between lecture notes and a Linux terminal. What began as curiosity about how websites work turned into a real pull toward the systems underneath them — servers, networks, and the security that holds it all together.
My goal is to start my career as an IT Security Trainee, putting classroom theory to work: hardening servers, auditing web applications, and learning how real infrastructure teams operate day to day. Long term, I want to grow into a full-stack developer who treats security as a first principle, not an afterthought.
Skills & Technologies
A working from writing the interface to hardening the server it runs on.

SETEC INSTITUTE
Coursework spanning systems analysis, database management, networking fundamentals, and information security principles.
Teacher
Planned and delivered lessons, assessed student progress, and communicated with students and parents . I have skills that translate directly into explaining security concepts to non-technical audiences.
Linux Fundamentals
Practiced command-line operations, file management, and system administration tasks in a Linux environment with Visual Box. Start learning in AWS Cloud and Linux hardening that have ( EC2, Route53, DNS , Hosting with Nginx and FilleZilla )will help me to become a good IT Security Trainee in the future.
